You’re super-keen about cutting waste, right? But the other members of your household aren’t quite so enthusiastic? This presentation looks at their main barriers, and how you can help overcome them.

  • Engaging the 20-Somethings in your Environment Group

Understanding what Gen Y is busy with, and how your group can build a relationship with 20-something year olds. This popular presentation is backed by a paper and has been presented at various Landcare forums around Australia.

  • Environmental Leadership – My Journey

How Ella (semi-accidentally) became a leader in the environmental field – doubts, turning points and understanding influence.

A hands-on session looking at the modern range of cloth nappies and/or sanitary pads, including washing.

Hints, tips, facts and figures about domestic garbage and how to make simple changes at home.

  • Low Waste Living for School Kids

45 minute session for school groups focussing on learning What is Waste? What Waste do we Produce? and How Can We Reduce Waste? Suitable for Years 2 – 6.

TOURS

  • Low Waste Shopping Tour

A guided tour around your local supermarket (pending permission from the store) learning how to make better choices in the weekly shopping to reduce rubbish.shopping-tour

  • House Tour

A partially self-guided tour around Katanning House learning about design, materials and sustainable living. Ella or David will welcome you and answer questions as you go. Minimum group sizes apply.  The House is occasionally open to the general public, for events such as Sustainable House Day and Katanning Eco-Week.
