Berringar is a solar passive designed house, made principally from strawbales. The house is located on a gravelly ridge amongst 17 acres of wandoo bushland, with views to the north across the family farm. It is 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom, and has an internal living space of 400m2 – making it quite a large house! With the exception of the cooling tower, the entire house in on one level.
